  • Does this platform service the entire country?
    • No, www.ihssconnect.com only services the great state of California at this time. Please note, you will not be able to search any areas outside of California.
  • Is it free to use www.ihssconnect.com?
    • There is no fee for caregivers, known as “Providers” on our site, to join our community. All Providers can subscribe for free and have access to the site, including messaging, for no cost. A credit card is required to validate each new user but registered Providers will not be charged. Recipients must select a plan when each new user subscribes. Recipient’s can chose between a small monthly fee of $3 or annual fee of $19 to access all the features, including contacting Providers and posting jobs. 
  • Is money exchanged between provider and recipient on this platform?
    • No, all financial exchanges are handled privately off-site. We are not responsible for payments or nonpayments.
  • Does www.ihssconnect.com issue W-2s to providers?
    • No, all W-2s should be handled by the respective employing agency or hiring recipient. Please do not contact us for information regarding W-2s.
  • Do you confirm current vaccinations are up-to-date with subscribed providers?
    • No, we do not. Recipient’s can request appropriate vaccination records and certificates directly from providers, as needed.
  • Do you perform criminal background checks on subscribed recipients or providers?
    • No, we do not perform any type of background check on subscribers. Recipients are expected to do their due diligence when hiring any prospective provider. Just the same, providers are expected to conduct their own due diligence before accepting a job offer of any kind. Please learn more about safety here.
  • Who is responsible for firing a provider?
    • Quite simply, the recipient is the boss and therefore in charge of the working relationship. The recipient or their authorized representative is responsible for everything pertaining to the interviewing, hiring, firing, scheduling and anything else pertaining to the job. Our platform nor any employee of Care Connect, LLC does not have any authority as it pertains to the working relationship between each recipient and respective provider.
  • Is this site a government-run platform?
    • No, www.ihssconnect.com is a privately owned company and has no connection or affiliation to any government programs albeit city, county or state.
  • How long does a subscription last?
    • Currently, providers and recipients can elect to subscribe monthly or annually. Auto-renew is automatically enabled but subscriptions can be cancelled at anytime in the User Dashboard.
  • May I cancel a subscription after it has started?
    • Yes, you can cancel a subscription at any time through the subscription portal. Refunds are not available. Cancelling the subscription will deactivate the auto-renewal at the end of the users original subscription term. Users who have cancelled will still be able to use our service until the completion of the original subscription date, at which point the active subscription will expire. 
  • What type of providers can find work on www.ihssconnect.com?
    • Our platform caters towards all home health care workers in California, specifically providers for IHSS, WPCS, hospice, palliative and regional center services including respite care and day care.
  • Can I send a message to anyone?
    • No, users cannot message anyone. Our secure messaging system only permits providers and recipients to communicate with each other. Providers are not able to message other providers and recipient are not able to message other recipients.
  • Can providers send messages to recipients?
    • Only recipients can initiate conversations through the messaging system with providers. Once a conversation has been initiated by the recipient both users will have full access to the messaging system between the respective parties. Providers may apply to unlimited job postings but cannot search or message recipients directly. Providers may upgrade to a Premium subscription and enjoy the ability to send a custom cover letter and initial message to the recipient when applying for new jobs.
  • How do I report a safety concern?
    • To report a member or a concern to be reviewed by our team, please visit our Contact Us page to send us a private message. We rely on our online community to abide by our terms & conditions, as well as our rules. We take all inquiries and complaints towards other members seriously. Please note that reporting a member is a private communication between the user and the ihssconnect.com team.
